Urban Agriculture Conservation Initiative
NACD Announces 2020 Urban Agriculture Conservation Grants Initiative
Dear Conservation Leaders,
Since 2016, NACD and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) have partnered through the Urban Agriculture Conservation Grant Program to enhance conservation districts' technical assistance activities in developed or developing areas.
Today, I am pleased to announce a fourth round of funding through this initiative for Fiscal Year 2020. NACD and NRCS will award grants of up to $50,000 grants for approximately 18 districts.
Attached are the Request for Proposals (RFP) and Frequently Asked Questions documents, which are also available on NACD's website at www.nacdnet.org/about-nacd/what-we-do/urban-and-community/. NACD is accepting project proposals as directed in the RFP through Friday, January 10, 2020.
A special NACD webinar to review the RFP and respond to members' questions is scheduled for 3:00pm Eastern time on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. To best prepare for the Q&A, NACD asks that conservation districts send any questions they have to NACD Senior Advisor Deb Bogar at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 12, 2019. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register online at https://nacdnet.z2systems.com/eventReg.jsp?event=108&. The webinar will be also be recorded and posted at www.nacdnet.org/about-nacd/what-we-do/urban-and-community/ after the event.
Please contact Debra Bogar in Littleton, Colorado at email@example.com or 303-988-1893 if you have questions about this initiative.
Thank you for your continued work to deliver conservation on America's landscapes.
