Conservationist Mike Sullivan announced sign up for the On-Farm Energy
Audit/ Implementation Initiative designed to help agricultural producers
transition to more energy efficient operations ends Feb. 11, 2011, for
funding consideration this year. This initiative is designed to save both
money and energy when fully implemented.
Question number 10 in the State questions is new and a result of our group’s
discussion. Some of the clarifiers for these questions given the DCs will
also be changed.
As of, January 6th the FRN for NWPL has been announced and published. If
you need help there is a "Contact Us" email link on the homepage and they
will assist you. You will have to accept that DoD web certificate to enter
the site the first time if they are outside of DoD.
LTP - Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Wildlife Habitat
Incentive Program (WHIP) Revised Implementation Schedule
The Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture (LMVJV), working
in cooperation with the Walton Family Foundation (WFF), has been authorized
to identify projects and facilitate funding in support of habitat
restoration on frequently flooded agricultural lands within the delta of
Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Interested organizations and agencies
should carefully review the guidelines and recommendations outlined in this
request for proposals and submit the required project proposal to
no later than 5:00 p.m. CST on March 30, 2011.
Sign-up period for EQIP Organic funding is now through March 4, 2011
While our forestry industry continues to suffer there are some landowners
who may have harvested timber and need this information to prepare their tax
returns.
